No matter how well a project is run and managed, occasionally problems can occur with the Commission. These may be related to staff changes in the EU Commission (i.e. project officer or other key staff) or because of regulatory changes, particularly related to financial rules. Problems can also arise because of delays in the approval of reports or because of payment delays. Occasionally, the project may be subject to decisions which the management team thinks is not fair, or not is in accordance with the rules. We provide discrete and well informed advice and guidance in approaching these sensitive areas, helping the project to develop a strategy to successfully resolve the problem.
Other situations may arise as well when there may be a need to develop contacts in the Commission especially to raise the profile of the organization or to introduce its managers to key officials. In these circumstances, we can assist the organization to develop an appropriate strategy which may involve organizing a visit by its managers to the relevant officials.
As an organization grows and develops through its participation in EU programmes and projects, it may feel that it may need a permanent presence in Brussels to aid it in its everyday contacts with the European Commission. However, setting up such a representative office can be extremely expensive. In this respect, we do represent a number of organizations providing them with a Brussels address as well as facilities in the heart of the city.
